If you’re planning to drive up to Tanjung Gemok yourself, it’s pretty straight forward to do so as well.

The journey from Singapore to Tanjung Gemok jetty will take an estimated 3.5-4 hours, more or less depending on the time and season, and traffic conditions.

From Singapore, you’ll want to head towards the Woodlands Causeway and head into Johor. Then use the EDL highway as to avoid Jalan Tebrau which can get you stuck in traffic. From here lookout to follow directions to go by Kota Tinggi and then onto Mersing, after that you should already be seeing signs directing you to Tanjung Gemok.

Once you’ve reached Tanjung Gemok look out for sings towards the jetty. You’ll find an open air car park at the jetty where you can park, and the rate for parking here is RM10 per day.

Once you’ve arrived in Larkin Bus Terminal, you need to purchase bus tickets from JB Larkin Terminal Bus to Mersing.
