Nictar farm is an endless pineapple plantation that cultivates different kinds of pineapples with different sizes.

Pontian Wholesale Fish Market is referred to as the centre of the town. It is a bidding market rather than just a fish market. And in Malaysia, it is very rare to find a bidding market in town.
The market is crowded early in the morning because the customers will come as early as they can to bid for the freshest fish. The special part about the bidding session is that the customers can only whisper the price instead of shouting out. And the fish will eventually be sold out to the highest bidder.

From Singapore, you’ll want to head towards the Woodlands Causeway and head into Johor. Then use the EDL highway as to avoid Jalan Tebrau which can get you stuck in traffic. Unfortunately, there is no direct bus from Kuantan to Tanjung Gemok Jetty but the buses will pass by Tanjung Gemok Jetty before proceeding to Mersing in Johor. Don’t forget to request to alight at Tanjung Gemok Jetty.

If you coming from Kuantan or Kuala Lumpur and heading to Tanjung Gemok Jetty by coach or bus, you need to inform the bus driver that you are getting down at Tanjung Gemok Jetty as buses will likely pass Tanjung Gemok Jetty on their way to Mersing and Mersing Jetty.
